Beyond being an author, Erik Washington has the unique experience of having held several positions with respect to writing.  He's been a syndicated columnist, journalist and editor specializing in political and national events, as well as entertainment and pop culture.

 

As an entertainment editor, he has contributed to iconic magazines such as Right On! and Tiger Beat, in addition to the then groundbreaking SBC Magazine. Washington also wrote articles and/or reviews for legendary Ebony magazine, classic Sepia Magazine and seminal Black Issues Book Review. His syndicated column, the popular "Dear Erik" appeared in over 30 weekly national newspapers.

Washington also brought his interviewing talents to the talk program genre with The Erik Washington Show, becoming one of the most popular in Los Angeles,
